About: Stanleys
Stanleys are an emerging UK indie band known for melodic guitar-driven songs that balance classic influences with a modern, relatable edge. Their songs are written collaboratively, blending the ideas of all four members to explore everyday experiences, youthful uncertainty, and moments of quiet reflection. Formed of frontman and Man City fan Tom, Jake Dorsman (guitar), Harry Ivory (bass), and Rob Hilton (drums and backing vocals), Stanleys have developed a reputation as a dependable and engaging live act.
After a year away, the Wigan indie band returned last month with ‘Pass The Time’, a statement single that reintroduces the band with sharpened focus and a noticeably heavier edge. The track marks a clear departure from their previous sound, signalling growth, confidence and creative intent. You can listen to the song on the Manchester City Official playlist. on Spotify,
How did you come to support your club and what are your favourite memories from your time as a fan?
Tom: I have supported City all my life as my dad does and his dad before that. When I was younger we were a garbage team, but then as I got older I was lucky enough to watch us win the Premier League on the last day against QPR.
Who have been your favourite five players for the club?
Tom: Colin Bell, Georgi Kinkladze, David Silva, Sergio Agüero, Pablo Zabaleta
What are your thoughts on how the 2025/26 season has gone so far for your club, and what are your hopes for the rest of this season?
Tom: This season is still a bit of a rebuild year for us but we could end up winning the quadruple which wouldn’t be too bad! Lord help the rest of you when the team’s settled.
What’s going on for you as an artist at the moment?
Tom: We’re having a bit of a rebuild ourselves and a slight change in musical direction. There’s plenty of new music and live shows to look out for!
