Essex indie group The Bracknall continue their rapid ascent with, 'Heavy On The Feeling', taken from the Waiting For The Lights To Change EP- out on October 2.
Following last year’s Falling Out of View EP — #3 on the Official Independent Albums Chart and #1 on the Official Independent Breakers Chart — 2026 is shaping up to be their biggest year yet. The five-track EP features singles ‘Where I Belong’, ‘Heavy On The Feeling’ and ‘What Am I To Do’, with two previously unheard tracks arriving on release day.
Momentum around the new music is accelerating. ‘Heavy On The Feeling’ has overtaken viral favourite ‘I Don’t Understand It’ to become the band’s most popular track for the first time on DSPs, while ‘What Am I To Do’ achieved record number of streams in it’s first 48 hours.

The EP captures the band at a new songwriting peak: huge melodies, emotional directness and anthemic guitars, all underpinned by the unmistakable Bracknall energy. Recorded during sessions in West Yorkshire with Richard McNamara of Embrace, the EP builds on a relationship that will also see The Bracknall support Embrace across four UK shows this November, including Glasgow’s iconic Barrowland Ballroom.
Elsewhere, Leyton Orient selected ‘Where I Belong’ as the soundtrack to their 2026/27 MEYBA kit launch, while the band made their Great Escape debut this year November then sees The Bracknall embark on their biggest headline tour to date, promoted by Metropolis x This Feeling, with a landmark finale at London’s KOKO on December 4.
