Working Men's Club return with, ‘Devout’, co-produced by GRAMMY-winning composer and Nine Inch Nails’ Atticus Ross.
‘Devout’ heralds the beginning of a new era for Working Men’s Club aka songwriter-singer-producer Sydney Minsky Sargeant. The single is WMC’s debut for Domino, and teases further music with the label.
Marking a shift in songwriting, ‘Devout’ harnesses a vulnerability in WMC’s distinctly abstract lyrics. The song’s structure retains the raw, potent urgency that was fashioned throughout his first two records but distilled with a dose of euphoria. “Devout always felt like the right song to return with,” says Sargeant on the single.

‘Devout’ arrives with a companion visualiser directed by Innerstrings (Overmono’s go-to videographer). The artwork was designed by longtime WMC creative collaborator SJ Hockett.
‘Devout’ follows critically acclaimed albums Working Men’s Club (2020) and Fear Fear (2022). Last year saw the release of Sydney Minsky Sargeant’s solo record Lunga, which turned his focus inward, and collaborated with Daniel Avery and James Greenwood’s Ghost Culture for the hallucinatory Demise Of Love EP.
