Fast rising teenage trailblazers Florentenes return with, ‘Think Twice’, a soaring indie anthem and the second single from their upcoming EP.
The track cements their place at the forefront of the UK’s new guitar movement. Building on the success of ‘The News’, which earned high profile airplay from Radio X’s John Kennedy & BBC 6 Music’s Chris Hawkins, ‘Think Twice’ captures the raw intensity and swagger of a band quickly becoming one of Britain’s most exciting new acts.
Recorded with legendary producer Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers, Jamie Webster, The Who), ‘Think Twice’ is a sonic step forward for a band still barely a year out of school and already helping to define a new era of northern guitar music. Evoking the relentless energy of The Libertines and the melodic urgency of the Arctic Monkeys, it is both cathartic and full of bite. Frontman William Train Smith explains, “Think Twice is a story about the emotional end of a relationship, told from different sides, one cynical, one hopeful. It’s about the pain, learning to let go, heal and find yourself again”
