Oscar Farrell returns with club-ready ‘Tell It Like It Is’

London-based producer and DJ Oscar Farrell returns with his first new music of 2026, 'Tell It Like It Is', out now via dh2.

Marking the first step in what promises to be a defining year for him, ‘Tell It Like It Is’ leans into the UK lineage that has long informed Farrell’s work — taking inspiration from classic 2-step rhythms and updating it for the modern day club space. Built around a controlled, looped synth stab, the track builds with momentum before resolving into a release that feels joyous yet contained.

Over the past year, Farrell has steadily carved out his own lane within London’s electronic underground. From the release of his debut EP I’ve Already Called through to last year’s So Far South, his output has continued to evolve — balancing club instinct with a sense of human emotion that shapes everything he creates, whether in the studio or on the dancefloor.

In recent months, that momentum has extended into a series of collaborative and remix projects. He reunited with George Daniel for their second joint release volc4, further cementing his role within the dh2 ecosystem, while a cross-continental collaboration with Korean artist Mount XLR on Mod Break / Variated 3′ highlighted his instinct for club-focused experimentation. A George FitzGerald remix of Dream Therapy’ brought fresh perspective to one of last year’s defining tracks, further underlining the respect his work continues to command among his peers.

Earlier this month, Farrell performed at London’s Village Underground alongside 2D0GS, George Daniel, Olof Dreijer and Or:la — taking part in a back-to-back set with Daniel that further underlined his place within the dh2 circle. Recent appearances at Phonica Records, Number 90 and Badaboum in Paris have continued to expand his reach, building from London’s core club spaces into increasingly prominent rooms both at home and abroad.

As an essential part of the dh2 family — the label he has helped shape alongside George Daniel and a new wave of forward-facing electronic artists — Farrell continues to refine an identity rooted in both intention and instinct. The months ahead will see him join Daniel and 2D0GS for the next dh2 night at Public Records in New York (March 12), alongside a summer appearance at Gala Festival in London (May 22), with further releases and live moments set to follow.
