Premier League GW38 predictions
Brighton & Hove Albion v Manchester United
A win for The Seagulls at home on the final would secure them a spot in Europe next season, with the chance of playing in the Champions League still alive depending on results elsewhere. United go into the game with 3rd place secured under Michael Carrick, whose position as interim boss at Old Trafford is set to be made permanent for next season.
AKA: Brighton 2-0 Man Utd
Sport Playlists: Brighton 2-1 Man Utd
Burnley v Wolverhampton Wanderers
Two of the league’s relegated sides square off on the final day at Turf Moor. A win for the visitors would see them move off the bottom of the league to end the season, with any other result resulting in them finishing in 20th.
AKA: Burnley 1-1 Wolves
Sport Playlists: Burnley 0-1 Wolves
Crystal Palace v Arsenal
Having been crowned Premier League champions for the first time in over 20 years in midweek, Mikel Arteta’s Gunners will lift the trophy and keep the celebrations going following Sunday’s game at Selhurst Park. Both sides will have an eye on avoiding any major injuries ahead of their respective European cup finals in the next week.
AKA: Palace 2-2 Arsenal
Sport Playlists: Palace 2-2 Arsenal
Fulham v Newcastle United
13th host 11th on the final day of the season, with both sides respective goal differences all but ruling them out of sneaking into the final European spot in 8th. Newcastle came out 2-1 winners when the teams last met in the league at St James’ Park last October.
AKA: Fulham 0-3 Newcastle
Sport Playlists: Fulham 1-0 Newcastle
Liverpool v Brentford
Reds icons Mo Salah and Andy Robertson make their last appearances for the club at Anfield, with the Merseysiders all but assured of a spot in next season’s Champions League thanks to their superior goal difference over Bournemouth. They will be in for a tough afternoon with their opponents right in the fight for a spot in Europe on the final day of the season.
AKA: Liverpool 2-0 Brentford
Sport Playlists: Liverpool 2-2 Brentford
Manchester City v Aston Villa
With the title race finished after Tuesday’s draw at Bournemouth, City will celebrate their domestic cup double at the Etihad Stadium in what is strongly rumoured to be Pepe Guardiola’s final game in charge, which would bring to an end one of the most decorated coaching careers in Premier League history. Villa go into the game in party atmosphere after winning the Europa League on Wednesday.
AKA: Man City 3-0 Villa
Sport Playlists: Man City 3-2 Villa
Nottingham Forest v AFC Bournemouth
With the club’s first season in Europe for 2026/27 confirmed, Andoni Iraola will be looking to end his Cherries tenure on a high. A draw will be enough to secure 6th, which could be a spot in the Europa League or Champions League depending on results elsewhere. Forest will be hoping to end a tough season on a high, however they haven’t beaten their opponents in a competitive fixture for over a decade.
AKA: Forest 1-2 Bournemouth
Sport Playlists: Forest 2-2 Bournemouth
Sunderland v Chelsea
The Stadium of Light plays host to another big game between sides battling for a spot in Europe next season. Chelsea head into the game in 8th place – the final European spot in the table – with a win for their opponents enough for their hosts to leapfrog the Blues in the table.
AKA: Sunderland 2-1 Chelsea
Sport Playlists: Sunderland 1-2 Chelsea
Tottenham Hotspur v Everton
Defeat at Chelsea on Tuesday ensured that the fight to avoid the drop between Spurs and West Ham goes into the final day. A point for Roberto De Zerbi’s side should be enough to keep them up with their much superior goal difference, with the Toffees looking to play spoiler and end the season on a high.
AKA: Spurs 0-2 Everton
Sport Playlists: Spurs 2-1 Everton
West Ham United v Leeds United
Only a win for the Hammers will give them a chance to avoid relegation to the Championship, with all eyes then turning to events at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to determine their fate. AKA: West Ham 1-3 Leeds

About: AKA
Blending character-driven songwriting with quirky sample led soundscapes, the AKA project marks a fresh musical direction for Callum Thompson – Liverpool based musician, producer and guitarist of alternative rock group, The Mysterines – and reflects an unconventional approach.
Last month saw AKA release his debut single, ‘It Grows On Trees (Money)’, through Fiction Records. Irresistibly grungy with a petulant punk edge, the track is, “a song about the surreal becoming real,” and was produced and written by Thompson, who recently performed at The Great Escape Festival in Brighton. You can listen to the song on the Liverpool Official playlist on Spotify.
How did you come to support your club and what are your favourite memories from your time as a fan?
AKA: I was put in a Liverpool kit the day I was born, so I suppose I didn’t have much of a choice. I’d say my favourite memories are winning European cups and the league. Madrid in 2019 was an all timer.
Who have been your favourite players for the club?
AKA: Steven Gerrard is always just your bread and butter as a Liverpool fan growing up in my era. He was my hero growing up and someone that personifies what it is to be a Liverpool legend. My favourite current player would be Virgil van Dijk.
What are your thoughts on how the 2025/26 season has gone for your club?
AKA: It’s been a season to forget really, I think after signing [Alexander] Isak and having such a good season just gone everyone’s hopes were high. I think loosing Diogo [Jota] has had a big impact on the players but I think next year we’ll be right back there.
What’s going on for you as an artist at the moment?
AKA: I’ve just started releasing music and playing shows under AKA. It’s a really exciting time for me to start something new and different to other stuff I’ve done. I’m really enjoying making and playing music at the minute which is the main thing
