Tom Grennan has returned with, ‘Wrapped In Gold’, signalling the start of a confident new chapter for the multi-platinum artist.
Marking his debut release with RCA Records, ‘Wrapped In Gold’ stands as a bold opening statement for Tom Grennan’s new era, combining the raw energy of his early work with his continued evolution as a songwriter.
It was on his massive 2025 arena tour that Tom found himself inspired to return to his roots, prompting him to pick up a guitar again for the first time in nearly three years. “I had an impulse to go home – take myself back to being a teenager, the kid who learned to play guitar on his own in his bedroom,” he says. “The one who made up songs as it was the only way he could tell people how he was really feeling.”

Reconnecting with the instrument he learned at 18 – the one he wrote his very first songs on and toured the toilet venues of London with in the 2010s – sparked a newfound instinct to pare back his sound. He reunited with debut album collaborators Jez Ashurst and Paddy Byrne in a secluded cottage studio in the Hastings woods, describing their sessions as “joyful and spiritual”. It changed the way in which he tempers the almighty power of his trademark sound – those soulful, full-chested, vocals. “I was recording Wrapped in Gold and jumped on the mic and started singing in a much softer way than I’d tried before. I wanted it to be a bit like a lullaby.”
Over the course of four albums, Tom Grennan has cemented his status as one of the UK’s most successful contemporary artists. The Bedford-born singer songwriter’s achievements include a prestigious BRIT Billion Award, an MTV Award for Best UK Act, multiple BRIT and Ivor Novello nominations, sold-out arena tours and major festival headline slots. From sold-out arenas back to where it all began, ‘Wrapped In Gold’ finds Tom Grennan distilling his craft to its purest form, revealing the soul of an artist at the absolute top of his game.
