UK Drum & Bass producer Culture Shock releases his eagerly-anticipated new single ‘Universe’, featuring YOU.
As his first piece of original music since the release of ‘Alone’ in early 2023, ‘Universe’ has quickly grown into one of Culture Shock’s most sought after IDs with the track being teased at festivals including Boomtown, Liquicity and Let It Roll.
Featuring the euphoric vocals of YOU – a new, exciting duo made up of two established vocalists existing in their own right – ‘Universe’ follows on from the success of Culture Shock’s remix of Swing Disco’s ‘REACT’ with renowned vocalist Ella Henderson. The remix picked up 7 BBC Radio 1 plays and is sitting on over 1.5M global streams.

James Pountney aka Culture Shock has gone from the passing of an unmarked demo, to arguably the drum & bass scene’s most ground-breaking producer. Since his first release on Moving Shadow in 2004, Culture Shock has consistently pushed boundaries with his sonic artwork, creating a diverse discography which has become symbolic within one of the UK’s most withstanding genres.
With a list of UK and Europe shows to come, including DnB Allstars Festival, Boundary Festival and an unannounced b2b at a new London venue Drumsheds, combined with North America dates visiting cities such as Vancouver, Edmonton and Austin, Culture Shock is set to have a busy few months touring his music.
