The superstar multidisciplinary duo – consisting of cult French producer, composer, and DJ Surkin and influential filmmaker and director Romain Gavras – continue to build out their cinematic and immersive world of audiovisual art, first introduced with releases with M.I.A. on ‘The New International Sound, Pt. 2’ and their most recent single ‘Neo Surf’ with 070 Shake.

Surkin (Benoît Heitz) is a French producer, composer and DJ widely recognised as one of the defining figures of the French Touch 2.0 generation. Emerging in the mid2000s through influential label Institubes, he quickly gained international attention for his bold fusion of club music, rap energy, pop melody and cinematic scale, touring globally from New York to Tokyo.
Romain Gavras is an acclaimed French-Greek filmmaker and director known for his bold, provocative visual style across film, music videos, and advertising. He first emerged through the influential Kourtrajmé collective before directing era-defining videos for Justice (‘Stress’), M.I.A. (‘Born Free’) and Jamie xx (‘Gosh’), among others. His feature films include Our Day Will Come, The World Is Yours, and the critically acclaimed ATHENA for Netflix.
