Georgia shares new single, 'Wanna Play', her first new music in nearly two years and an absolute bop from the unique, left-field pop artist.
‘Wanna Play’ is written and produced by Georgia and her long-time studio collaborator Mark Ralph (Years & Years, Daniel Avery, Hot Chip) who she also worked with on her Mercury Prize-shortlisted 2020 album Seeking Thrills.
Talking about the track, Georgia says: “I wrote this song at a complete crossroads in my life, which is why I stuck with the 160bpm! It’s a fast tempo punk-electro song, inspired by early Knife songs & 80’s Depeche Mode bass-lines. It’s a bit of fun really, I wanted to explore my love for synths again!”

Out of fear came inspiration, and out of inspiration came adventure, the result was Georgia’s dynamite third album Euphoric. Released in 2023, the record saw Georgia stepping out from behind the recording desk and establishing herself in the pop scene. Last year, the London musician followed up Euphoric with her soaring single ‘Too Much Too Little’, an irresistible blast of dance pop, the lyrics contemplating the modern world and our role in mass consumption all whilst underpinning the song with rapturous hands-in-the-air piano stabs and dynamic drums.
Georgia will be putting on an intimate event at London’s AnotherLand next week, where she will be performing her new live set alongside a number of guest DJs. Ever present within her tight-knit artistic community, Georgia was recently invited to join Richard Russell’s Everything Is Recorded live presentations as well as guesting on the recent Everything Is Recorded album Solstice Equinox.
