overpass share a new version of fan favourite and key Elsewhere, Always album track, ‘Fall In Love’, featuring Nieve Ella.
overpass and Nieve Ella share a friendship and a mutual admiration that made this a natural collaboration – and it’s one that they previewed to a rapturous reception at Reading. The affecting, breakup-in-motion ballad is given a fresh twist, with Nieve’s tender, yearning voice providing first a counterpoint to Max Newbold’s deeper tone, before joining him in harmony for the song’s finale. Her fresh lyrics on her verse gives the song another lyrical dimension, too: its previous one-way take on a fading relationship is now shown from two different perspectives.
Max says, “Nieve is an artist that we’ve known and admired since starting out as a band. With both of us being from the Midlands, it’s been amazing to grow alongside each other and hit similar milestones together. When we had the idea of having a feature on an album track, Nieve was our immediate first choice. We loved the idea of re-writing the second verse of ‘Fall in Love’ to give the meaning a fresh perspective. Nieve’s input added this extra dimension to the song, and we’re so excited for people to hear it.”

Nieve adds, “Having my part on ‘Fall In Love’ is super special for me as I resonate with the meaning of the song a lot. Being young and in love is sometimes complicated when you are living a life on the go all the time. overpass is a band I’ve always loved, so it’s a privilege to be a part of something with such a great group of people.”
2026 has been a phenomenal year for overpass. They have already enjoyed a Top 5 breakthrough with their debut album Elsewhere, Always, triumphant scenes at the Reading and Leeds Festivals, and further festival action including Latitude, TRNSMT, Y NOT? and the Isle of Wight Festival – all with their entirely sold-out autumn headline tour still a month away. They have also just announced details of their biggest run of shows to date for April 2027.
