Premier League GW37 predictions
Aston Villa v Liverpool
The final Friday night clash of the season comes with big implications for the Champions League spots next season. A win for either side will confirm their place in the competition for next season, with defeat for either opening the door for Bournemouth and Brighton to close the gap on 5th place heading into the final weekend of the season.
Richard: Aston Villa 2-2 Liverpool
Sport Playlists: Aston Villa 1-2 Liverpool
Manchester United v Nottingham Forest
Michael Carrick takes charge of his final home game in charge of the Red Devils as interim head coach in Saturday’s early kick-off, with a win for United confirming that they will end the season in 3rd place. Forest go into the game knowing their place in the top flight next year is secure after last weekend’s draw with Newcastle.
Richard: Man Utd 2-1 Forest
Sport Playlists: Man Utd 2-0 Forest
Brentford v Crystal Palace
The Bees are on the outside looking in for the coveted 6th place finish and a confirmed spot in Europe next season, sat in 8th and four points behind Bournemouth. They host a Palace side with all eyes on the Europa League Conference Final at the end of May.
Richard: Brentford 10-0 Palace
Sport Playlists: Brentford 3-0 Palace
Everton v Sunderland
The final league game of first season at the Hill Dickinson Stadium pits two sides firmly in mid-table against each other, with only a fleeting hope of competing for a spot in Europe remaining for both. The last meeting between the teams ended in a 1-1 draw at the Stadium of Light last November.
Richard: Everton 1-1 Sunderland
Sport Playlists: Everton 2-0 Sunderland
Leeds United v Brighton & Hove Albion
Fabian Hurzeler’s Seagulls will be looking to take another step towards European football next season in their final away game of the season, however they face a tough test against a Leeds side on a seven game unbeaten run.
Richard: Leeds 1-2 Brighton
Sport Playlists: Leeds 1-3 Brighton
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Fulham
Only a win in their last game of the season at Molineux gives Wolves a chance at not finishing bottom of the Premier League table. They host a Fulham side coming of back-to-back defeat, with their chances of competing for a place in Europe on the final day of the season hanging by a thread.
Richard: Wolves 10-0 Fulham
Sport Playlists: Wolves 0-1 Fulham
Newcastle United v West Ham United
The Hammers make the long trip to St James’ Park fighting for their lives, in the knowledge a third loss in a row could open the door to them being relegated before the final weekend of the season. West Ham ran out 3-1 winners when the sides faced off in East London back in November 2025.
Richard: Newcastle 1-1 West Ham
Sport Playlists: Newcastle 0-0 West Ham
Arsenal v Burnley
Victory for Mikel Arteta’s side at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night could be enough for them to secure a first Premier League title in over 20 years, however it will be a nervy 24 hour wait for them with title rivals Man City in action the following night. Their opponents have only won once in 2026.
Richard: Arsenal 2-0 Burnley
Sport Playlists: Arsenal 4-0 Burnley
AFC Bournemouth v Manchester City
The first of two games involving this season’s FA Cup finalists on Tuesday evening holds big stakes for both sides. Pep Guardiola’s visitors may need a win to take the Premier League title race down to the final day of the season, with the Cherries sat in 6th – which could secure them a spot in either of the three European competition’s next season – heading into the weekend.
Richard: Bournemouth 1-2 Man City
Sport Playlists: Bournemouth 1-3 Man City
Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs will go into their Tuesday night game at Stamford Bridge knowing whether or not a win will be enough for them to avoid relegation, with one game left to play. The result of Saturday’s FA Cup final will determine whether their hosts still have anything to play for this season, with the Blues’ chances of securing a spot in Europe next season via their league finish looking precarious.
Richard: Chelsea 0-0 Spurs
Sport Playlists: Chelsea 0-1 Spurs
About: Hard-Fi
Staines’ finest Hard-Fi have been a phenomenon in the indie rock world, with over a million UK album sales, two #1 albums and 5 Top 20 singles racked up since their debut with the Mercury Prize-shortlisted Stars Of CCTV in 2005. After going on hiatus in 2014, the band’s reunion was sparked during lockdown, when Archer livestreamed Stars of CCTV and was stunned by the warmth of the response. A comeback show at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town sold out in minutes, reminding the quartet why they started.
Recharged and looking sharply at a world gone sideways, the band make their long-awaited return with brand new studio album Sweating Someone Else’s Fever, their first in 15 years, out on June 19 via V2 Records. The latest taste of the album came in April with the single, ‘Looking For Fun’, which you can listen to on the Brentford Official Matchday playlist on Spotify.
How did you come to support your club and what are your favourite memories from your time as a fan?
Richard: My Dad’s family were from Isleworth/Brentford and even though my dad wasn’t a massive football fan, my cousin and uncle were. My cousin Tony worked for the club and for my 8th birthday we took a load of my friends to Brentford v Walsall. It was everyone’s first experience of professional football, Griffin Park seemed HUGE (we won also).
Loads of good memories but coming back to beat Bournemouth in the Play-Off Semi final at the GTech in 2021 for the first time was incredible. We were a goal down from the first leg and went another goal down very earIy but came back to win 3-2. I knew we were gonna go up after that
Who have been your favourite five players for the club?
Richard: Jay Tabb, Alan Judge, Jota, Bryan Mbuemo, Ivan Toney.
What are your thoughts on how the 2025/26 season has gone for your club?
Richard: It’s been a really great season – after losing the spine of our team including 40 odd goals in the shape of Mbuemo and [Yoane] Wissa and the manager, people predicted we’d be relegated. But the people who run Brentford FC know what they’re doing.
What’s going on for you as an artist at the moment?
Richard: A first new album in 15 years! We’re really excited about this, very happy with the record and hope the fans like it.
We’re playing festivals this summer and our own shows later this year in December, including a return to Brixton Academy, which we sold out five nights in a row back on 2006, so it’s always been a big part of our story. We also have just done a fantasy shirt collab with Brentford FC which was seriously cool!
