Shaun Farrugia returns with his brand-new single, ‘Heading Home’, marking another defining moment in his transition from behind-the-scenes songwrtier to an artist in his own right.
‘Heading Home’ sees the Malta-born artist step into a more personal and reflective space, capturing the emotional journey that has shaped him both as an artist and individual. Blending intimate lyricism with his signature melodic sensibility, the track offers a poignant introduction to this next phase of his artistry.
“‘Heading Home’ is a song that means the world to me. It reflects the journey of the past few years of my life, going back to where it all began. Every moment has led to this point, a new chapter filled with emotoon and music that I can’t wait to share,” Shaun explains.

Shaun’s story has always been rooted in songwriting. Long before stepping into the spotlight as a vocalist, he was shaping records for some of the biggest names in music. Among his early breakthroughs was co-writing ‘Hot Summer Nights’ for The Script, before going on to collaborate with Bono and Martin Garrix on ‘Angels For Each Other’, as well as contributing to Sigala’s ‘Melody’. These credits are just a snapshot of a wider catalogue that has seen him work across genres and with globally recognised artists. He later featured as a vocalist on Martin Garrix’s ‘Starlight (Keep Me Afloat)’ alongside DubVision, marking his first official artist release.
Alongside his writing and recording career, Shaun has built a reputation as a dynamic live performer, supporting global artists including Robbie Williams, Sam Smith, Becky Hill, French Montana, and Marshmello across Malta, Germany, the Netherlands, the United States and Bulgaria. In 2024, he also delivered a surprise set at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, further cementing his growing international profile.
