The Interview
SM: When did you begin DJ’ing for Miami Dolphins?
DS: I have just finished my 6th season with the team.
SM: How did you initially get into the role?
DS: I’d done a lot of work on events for dolphin player charity foundations & their personal events and it all just grew from there.
SM: Can you remember your first American football game/stadium experience as a kid?
DS: I mainly went to baseball & basketball games as a kid. Football didn’t come until I was a bit older.
SM: In your time with the Dolphins, who’s the best player you’ve seen play live?
DS: Tyreek Hill.
SM: Who is your favourite artist/band of all time?
DS: The Beatles and/or Michael Jackson.
SM: Which piece of music do you think is the ultimate track for motivating an American football team?
DS: ‘Dreams & Nightmares’ – Meek Mill.
SM: Do you have an all-time favourite track that you play at Dolphins games?
DS: ‘Mo Bamba’ – Sheck Wes.
SM: What are the main songs used week in, week out in your sets?
DS: Honestly, each game is a blank slate, you just have to go with the flow of each game.
SM: On a final note, are there any funny mishaps/cock-ups that have taken place that come to mind when you think about your career so far?
DS: Fortunately no, which is a good thing because I can’t handle awkward moments.
