FEET release their new single, 'Number One', a standout B-side gem from the Make It Up album studio sessions.
The track has quickly become a fan favourite at recent live shows, with the release coinciding with the band’s biggest UK headline tour to date which kicked off last month. The quartet continue their live run throughout November.
“Before the second step of any landing there is always the first” says George Haverson on the new track. ‘We present this destination as the first of an expanding journey towards our prized third album. And we call this destination ‘Number One’.”
Make It Up is the long player follow up to FEET’s debut album What’s Inside Is More Than Just Ham which catapulted them into the indie-rock spotlight in 2019. Crowd pleasing thrillers such as ‘Petty Thieving’, ‘the anthemic ‘English Weather’ and more recent crowd favourite ‘Changing My Mind Again’ solidified the band as one of the most exciting guitar acts on the scene.

‘Make It Up’ distils the FEET of old with a fine-tuned, cohesive, and compelling new output that builds on the sonic DNA of their debut and subsequent singles, while effortlessly taking it to the next level. The band also boast a great producer in Andy Savours, who has previously been behind the mixing desk for some of Britain’s most boundary-pushing bands of the last decade – including Black Country New Road and The Horrors.
“When we constructed this album, we wanted to keep it very simple in the way we did everything and that’s because I want people to listen to the album and be able to play it too. I want kids to pick up guitars like we all did when we were 14 or 15 and sit in the practice room and learn them at lunchtime,” says Haverson. “That’s our whole ethos as a band and our general creative output. It needs to be accessible and repeatable.”
