Prima Queen release their brand new track, ‘Dirty Rascal’, out via Submarine Cat Records and premiered on BBC 6 Music by Huw Stephens.
Teaming with esteemed producer Oli Deakin (CMAT) for their infectious new effort, ‘Dirty Rascal’ follows spring single ‘Crumb’ and 2025’s acclaimed debut album The Prize – a vibrant celebration of friendship, ambition, and life’s beautiful contradictions. Having reached the Top 10 of the UK Independent Albums Chart, the LP’s release was followed by extensive touring across the UK and Europe, culminating in a triumphant homecoming show at London’s Islington Assembly Hall, and a slot alongside The Maccabees and Bombay Bicycle Club at All Points East.

Detailing ‘Dirty Rascal’, Prima Queen explained: “It’s about trusting a quiet knowing that you need to let someone go and the feeling of freedom you feel after it; there’s a type of peace that comes after a breakup when you both know you have your own version of events which can both be true and co exist simultaneously because you no longer have to.”
With strong support from key tastemakers across the media landscape, including approval from all corners of the press community (The Guardian, The I Paper, The Independent, The Times, NME, DIY, Dork, The Line Of Best Fit, Rolling Stone UK, Clash, Rough Trade, The New Cue, The Forty-Five), and widespread BBC 6 Music (Steve Lamacq, Huw Stephens, Lauren Laverne, Craig Charles) + Radio X airplay (John Kennedy – live session), Prima Queen returned to the live circuit this summer with a triumphant set at London’s Crystal Palace Bowl supporting Bastille and The Wombats, in addition to a sold-out underplay at the capital’s iconic 100 Club for Dork Magazine. Primed and ready to kick off a thrilling new chapter in their development this autumn, the duo have numerous live dates and further new material imminent.
