Five-piece band The Crooks announce the release of their debut physical EP, HYPERCELL, alongside sharing recent singles 'Always' / 'Madness'.
The limited run EP lands this summer and captures the band’s trademark widescreen sound in its most visceral form yet. Recorded and produced in Glasgow by Chris Marshall, HYPERCELL was mastered by Natalie Bibby at Air Studios – winner of Mastering Engineer of the Year at the 2026 MPG Awards. The collaboration delivers a record that feels both intimate and arena-ready.
Formed in Chesterfield, The Crooks have built a reputation for anthemic, guitar-driven songs that balance grit with melody. Following the breakout success of ‘Madness’, the band have been tipped as one of the UK’s most compelling new live acts.

Driven by Jack Knight’s raw, reflective vocal, the band’s signature sound comes from the chemistry of its five members: Christian Stones on lead guitar, Duncan Couch on rhythm guitar, Aiden Morris on bass, Conor Fletcher on drums. Together they create a sound that feels both immediate, loud, atmospheric and cinematic.
HYPERCELL is built on huge, epic anthemic guitar-based songs designed for arms-aloft, full-voice singalongs.
