Nigerian phenomenon Shallipopi returns with his brand new three track EP, WayWard, featuring focus track, '.com'.
The new project sees the self-proclaimed Pluto Presido continue to push his genre-defying sound forward, with focus track ‘.com’ leading the release alongside ‘UP (TRANSOVANIA)’ and ‘OGO’. ‘.com’ is an infectious new record that captures Shallipopi’s trademark ability to fuse hypnotic melodies, sharp lyricism and an unmistakable sense of rhythm. The track introduces a distinctive flute element, adding another layer to Shallipopi’s ever evolving sonic palette.
WayWard sees Shallipopi continue to evolve the Pluto sound while staying true to the energy and culture that have driven his rise from Benin City to the global stage. The release arrives following the huge success of his 2025 album, AURACLE, which featured collaborations with Wizkid, Burna Boy, Gunna, Swae Lee, Pa Salieu and Rauw Alejandro. Having amassed more than 440 million streams over the last year alone, Shallipopi has firmly cemented his status as one of Africa’s most exciting new wave stars.

The new EP follows a landmark run for the Benin City born artist, whose genre defying sound has propelled him onto sold-out stages worldwide and earned widespread acclaim from tastemakers including Rolling Stone Africa, Dazed, Wonderland, Clash, GUAP and more. From breakout anthem ‘Elon Musk’ to chart-dominating hits including ‘Cast’ featuring Odumodublack and the global success of the ‘Laho’ series, Shallipopi has consistently pushed Afrobeats into bold new territory.
Shallipopi’s captivating beats and unpredictable nature are all driven from the lively streets of his hometown, Benin City. Named VEVO DSCVR Artists To Watch, Shallipopi gained initial mainstream recognition with the release of ‘Elon Musk’, which was quickly followed by critically acclaimed debut album Planet Pluto. Ranked among Spotify Africa’s top 10 artists in their 2024 Wrapped, as well as named their RADAR artist, the self-proclaimed Pluto Presido’s biggest record yet, ‘Cast’ featuring Odumodublack, saw over nine million UK streams and reached #3 on the UK Afrobeats Chart for 13 consecutive weeks.
Significant global appearances have included sharing sold-out O2 Arena stages with Central Cee and Asake, headlining Electric Brixton, and notable guest appearances with Rema and Burna Boy. As he continues to evolve the Pluto sound and expand his global footprint, WAYWARD marks the latest chapter in Shallipopi’s rapidly accelerating rise.
