Shed Seven share, 'Let The Good Times Roll', the latest new track to emerge from their forthcoming self-titled seventh studio album - set for release on January 8 2027 through Cooking Vinyl.
Released amidst a sold out run of UK tour dates on which the band are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their iconic 1996 album A Maximum High, new single ‘Let The Good Times Roll’ shows yet another side to what forthcoming album Shed Seven has to offer. Where the album’s lead single ‘Stand Together’ heralded a muscular and sky-scraping, and its follow-up ‘The Centre of My Everything’ wielded sweeping strings and a rousing chorus, ‘Let The Good Times Roll’ is as epic as the band come.
In what is proving to be a period in which the band find themselves more popular than ever as a live draw, they have just sold out their biggest headline show to date at York’s 14,000 capacity LNER Community Stadium on May 29 2027. In conjunction with the show, a special “York City” card wallet CD edition of the album (which includes three bonus tracks and unique artwork) is on sale now, with proceeds going the York City Foundation. Shed Seven are also keen to use the occasion to support York’s next generation of musicians, with a fan zone stage ahead of the main stadium show featuring up-and-coming artists from the city.

Lead singer Rick Witter comments on the sold-out stadium show, “Our ambition, even as school kids, was to one day play our own stadium show. What kid who dreams of being in a rock ’n’ roll band doesn’t want to do that? Now… almost 40 years later, we’ve reached the point where we thought… it’s now or never. And if we were going to do it, it had to be York.
“What will make it even more special is that the stadium is a stone’s throw from where we met, went to school and where we first formed a band. We’re coming back to pretty much where it all began to play the biggest show of our career and that is a proper full-circle moment.”
Shed Seven have enjoyed a remarkable resurgence in recent years. In 2024, they made chart history by achieving their first ever #1 album with A Matter Of Time, followed just ten months later by a second #1 with Liquid Gold, placing them alongside artists such as The Beatles, Elton John and David Bowie in achieving two UK #1 albums within a single calendar year.
Lead singer Rick Witter comments on new single ‘Let The Good Times Roll’, “Eyes on the prize, watch silver turn to gold. Winning in life, a time to be positive and enjoy the things happening around you. Forget the negativity and Let The Good Times Roll.”
