International DJ & producer e-lie today drops his anthemic hit 'Circles', featuring global icon Mariah Carey.
The uptempo dance anthem reimagines fan favourite ‘Circles’ taken from Mariah’s 2005 Grammy Award-winning and multiplatinum-selling tenth studio album, The Emancipation of Mimi.
The original version of ‘Circles’, was originally co-written by Mariah Carey and James Wright. On the creation of ‘Circles’e-lie cites the entire process took three years: “I stumbled upon a vocal by Mariah Carey that immediately captured my attention. I played around with the vocal until I crafted a catchy melody. Subsequently, I created a rich organ melody that would complement the vocal. I also added some light percussion elements to add some extra texture to the groove without overpowering the rest of the track. Upon finalising the track’s structure, I sensed a missing element that could be resolved by incorporating M1 pianos to add an uplifting presence”.

‘Circles’ received ample underground support, propelling the track into focus across the global dance scene, where the unofficial version of the track received millions of streams across the likes of Soundcloud and YouTube. Mariah Carey heard the track earlier this year and loved it – leading to ‘Circles’ being officially released.
