South Wales four piece The Now return with their brand new single, 'Infection', released earlier this week via Trew Music.
‘Infection’ is the fifth track from the long awaited second album from the band. Following the success of their previous singles, ‘Infection’ is about the spark we’re all born with. That raw, unfiltered thing that makes each of us different and how the world slowly tries to rewrite it.
Recorded at Summerfield Studios in Birmingham and co – produced by Alex Vesters and Shane Callaghan, the track reinforces the band’s song writing strength and pushes the boundaries further than any of the previous releases.
Listen to ‘Infection’ on Red Devils Records.
Consisting of Shane Callaghan (Rhythm Guitar/Lead Vocals), Will Scott (Drums), Callum Bromage (Guitar/Vocals) and Matti Huxtable (Bass Guitar/Vocals), The Now’s kinetic energy ensures that not only will you see one of the best shows around, there’s a place for you to escape the mundane fallacies of day to day life and to be part of something bigger than you can imagine. The quartet’s releases over the past four years have received support from the likes of BBC Radio 2, Planet Rock, Sirius XM and more.
Previous singles, ‘Wild Curse’ and ‘Something Beautiful’ have achieved A listings on BBC Radio Wales, as well as other major stations around the globe. BBC TV have used the tracks on numerous Match of The Day round ups over several months and are proving to be a great champion of the band alongside C4’s Sunday Brunch who played a clip of the award-winning music video on the show.
Having supported Reef and Florence Black and performed at The Isle of Wight Festival and headlining their own tours of the UK in 2025 and 2026, The Now are playing numerous festivals this Summer.
