New York native and seasoned tech house producer Westend releases, 'The Ceiling', featuring Olivia Sebastianelli.
Built for nightclubs and house parties alike, the track delivers high energy suited for a night out with friends. It blends strong rhythmic drive with a feel designed to keep momentum on the dance floor. Opening with an immediately catchy, infectious hook, Olivia Sebastianelli’s vocals cut through the mix: “give me something to believe in, take me dancing on the ceiling,” capturing that reckless, euphoric spirit at the heart of the record. Anchored by steady tech house production with Westend’s signature New York house influence, it pulls listeners into a full-on spiral of movement and intensity.
Westend says of the track: “I made this because I was bored. Everything in tech house felt like the same record. I wanted that chaotic energy back, the kind of stuff that was coming out around 2012, fidget house records and when Project X was the biggest thing ever for a teenager. I wrote this in London last December and after the first session called my manager and said I had a special one. When I sent a batch of demos to John he pointed out ‘The Ceiling’ and said the same thing. Every show I play it the crowd loses it even though it is their first time hearing it and that’s when you know you got a winner.”
